Moonlite Hunting and Fishing Club

January Newsletter

2008 Membership Dues:

The last day to pay your membership dues is February 29^th or your membership will be cancelled.  You must show a valid hunting and/or fishing license when paying the dues to the caretaker or if you are mailing in your dues you must write down your hunting/fishing license number down on the invoice.  If you have a question about the dues you owe, please contact Jim Sesher or Brett Reed and do not question the caretakers about the amount.  Please be sure to retain your receipt as proof of payment for your dues and assessments. 

Membership update:  Ivan Varney was voted on for full membership and was accepted. 

Carry Concealed Weapons class:

A CCW class will be held on February 9^th at the club house from 8:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. 

Hunter Education Course:

A Hunter Education course will be offered on March 21^st and 22^nd.  The course will take place at the Boone County Parks and Recreation, Boone County Safety Campus on the 21^st from 6:30P.M. to 9:30P.M. and at the Moonlite Hunting & Fishing Club on the 22^nd from 8:00A.M. until completion.  For more details please call the Boone County Parks department at 334-2117.  There is no charge to take the course and you must pre-register for the class by calling the Parks Department.    

Other news:

• It was voted on and accepted to put down more gravel on the main road (Moonlite Dr.) coming into the Club property.  This work will be done when the temperature warms up and thaws the ground.
• All members are expected to comply with getting their 8 work days in.  This applies to Board Officers and Committee Chairmen as well. 

Euchre Tournaments:  January 26^th, February 9^th & 23^rd starting at 8:00P.M.

Raffle winners: The winner of the $100 monthly raffle was John Pettit and Boz Joslin was the winner of the raffle for a flashlight and pair of gloves. 

New Committee Chairmen:

All committee chairmen positions remained the same except for the following positions;

Pool – John Taylor

Scatter Boards – Bo Roach

Trap Shoot – Gene Surber
